Kalthifrons awrivellensis

An early Pliocene Mekosuchine crocodile and the only memeber of its genus. Kalthifrons awrivellensis has a sub-triangular skull with a dorsoventrally flattened platyrostral snout. It has been hypothesised that its extinction was due to competitive exclusion with Crocodylus.
