This emu footprint comes from fossil sand dune sediments in Lincoln National Park at the bottom of the Eyre Peninsula in South Australia. It is one of several emu footprints known from the sediments that make up the Bridgewater Formation and Tamala Limestone that crop out along much of the southern Australian coastline.
