- The Molecular Ecology Lab at Flinders University (MELFU) has become a focus for research in molecular ecology and ecological genomics in South Australia. MELFU owns extensive facilities for lab-based research in aquatic genomics that includes:
- State-of-art polymerase chain reaction (PCR) and real-time (RT)-PCR machines
- Robot for high-throughput automated pipetting
- Equipment for genomic and transcriptomic library development (e.g. Pippin Prep, Bioanalyzer)
- High performance computers for bioinformatics
