We will establish a two-arm independent scientific advisory committee comprising the local and international experts. The local committee arm will act as data monitoring committee to overseas the data collection process, and the International committee part will independently evaluate the overall study progress.
The local committee members will comprise expertise in HIV from Zonal health department and district health office, HIV patients from people living with HIV (PLWHA) associations, researchers from Tigrai Research Institute, HIV program managers from Tigrai Regional Health Bureau, leaders from community and board members from institutional review board (IRB) of Mekelle University.
The International committee will be made up of experts from Ethiopian Ministry of Health, Ethiopian Public Health Institute, World Health organizations (WHO), UNAIDS, and international non-governmental organizations (NGOs) working in Tigrai.
