Welcome<\/span><\/h1>\n

Space technology plays a much larger role in people’s lives than most realise. This increasingly important role encompasses virtually all areas of human activity, including finance, agriculture, commerce, weather prediction, disaster management and environmental protection. This larger role comes with a number of political and policy implications that are currently under-studied and under-researched.<\/p>\n

The Space Power and Policy Applied Research Consortium (SPPARC) is a group of researchers from different institutions in Australia and overseas who are interested and engaged in research on space politics, space policy, and the importance of space to our society.<\/p>\n

Our goal is to produce theoretical and empirical research to help with understanding the role of space and space technology in our political processes, in developing and shaping public policy, and in the relations between state and non-state actors.[\/vc_column_text][vc_empty_space height=”64px”][\/vc_column][\/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column][vc_separator][vc_column_text]<\/p>\n
