This project has Chief Investigators at Flinders University as well as partners from the University of Hull and the University of Stirling in the UK.<\/p>\n<p>Further information on the project can be found on <a href=\"https:\/\/sites.flinders.edu.au\/resilient-humanitarianism\/\">the project website.<\/a><\/p>\n<p>The PhD student\u00a0will focus on a case study of either blood transfusion initiatives, a core public health\u00a0programme\u00a0of the League, or the Junior Red Cross movement, the largest global international youth organisation in history.<\/p>\n<p>The successful applicant will undertake their research within the College of Humanities, Arts and Social Sciences at Flinders University, Adelaide, South Australia.\u00a0The student would be supervised by Professor Melanie Oppenheimer, Professor Susanne Schech and\u00a0Dr\u00a0Romain Fathi,\u00a0chief investigators\u00a0on the project.\u00a0 Professor Neville Wylie (University of Stirling) and Dr Rosemary Cresswell (University of Hull) will be available for additional support and consultation. The supervisory panel would also encourage the establishment of a\u00a0<em>cotutelle\u00a0<\/em>\/ jointly awarded PhD, based on the candidate\u2019s circumstances and research priorities.<\/p>\n<h3>Benefits<strong><br \/>\n<\/strong><\/h3>\n<p>The scholarship is open to students wishing to commence a PhD in 2019\/early 2020 and is valued at the APA rate of AUD $27,596 (2019 full time rate) per annum (tax free). The scholarship will be awarded for a maximum of three years. Additional funding for conference and research support is available from College research support schemes and the ARC project.<\/p>\n<p>Domestic students will receive a Research Training Program Tuition Fee Offset scholarship.<\/p>\n<p>International students will receive a full international tuition fee waiver.\u00a0 Please note overseas student health cover and relocation expenses will not be covered.<\/p>\n<h3>Eligibility<\/h3>\n<p>To be eligible for the award of this scholarship the applicant must:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Meet the PhD entry requirements of Flinders University (<a href=\"https:\/\/www.flinders.edu.au\/study\/apply\/apply-research-degree\/eligibility\">HDR Eligibility<\/a>).
