Lead Chief Investigator Melanie Oppenheimer and Partner Investigator Neville Wylie presented a paper at the seminar series ‘Medical Care and Humanitarianism in Latin America’ in March 2022. Their paper ‘Irrelevant backwater? Latin America as a field of activity for the League of Red Cross Societies, 1938-1945’ was well received and identified how Latin America is an understudied aspect of the history of humanitarian aid during the Second World War.
