We study the group of diseases called uveitis. Uveitis is inflammation inside the eye that may be caused by a viral or parasitic infection, may be a non-infectious inflammatory disease (similar to multiple sclerosis or inflammatory bowel disease), or may be a cancer (a form of lymphoma). Uveitis often causes decreased vision. Our team includes clinical researchers and laboratory scientists. Our goal is to increase understanding of the cellular and molecular mechanisms of uveitis, and to work towards more effective treatments for uveitis.
